Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring guests to the club?  And is there an additional charge for guests.

Yes.  There is no additional charge for guests.

 

Can I host a party at the club?

Yes.  Our Pavilion is available to rent and can be reserved ahead of time by contacting the pool director.  For 25 guests or more there is an additional fee.

 

Do you allow flotation devices for kids?

Yes, we allow only Coast Guard approved life vests and puddle jumpers. An adult or family member over the age of 13 must be in the water and within arm’s reach. A babysitter must at least be 15 years old if an adult is not present. No more than a 2:1 ratio of child to parent wearing flotation devices, and they are not allowed past the 5 feet mark or on the slide.

 

How old do you have to be to be dropped off at the club without an adult?

12 years old.

 

Do you allow babysitters? is there an extra charge?

Yes.  Babysitters are not required to be members as long as the child they are babysitting is a member.  There is no extra charge for babysitters.

 

How old do you have to be to babysit at the club?

15 years old

 

When do swim and tennis lessons take place?

We have 6 weeks of lessons (3 sessions of 2 weeks each) during the second half of June and the month of July.  Lessons are in the mornings Mon – Fri.

 

At what age do swim lessons start?

Age 3

 

How old do you have to be to be on the swim team?

We welcome swimmers starting at age 6 .  There are NO swimming requirements at all, you do not even need to be able to swim a lap without stopping.  Just be up for a morning swim team practice and the desire to improve.

 

At what age do tennis lessons start?

5 years old

 

How old do you have to be to be on tennis team?

10 years old

 

How deep is the shallow end of your large pool?

3 feet

 

Do you have any adult/lap swim times?

No.  Some adult members like to swim early in the morning.  A lane line can also be put in by a guard anytime outside of lessons and swim team training to accommodate lap swimming.

What is Pool Sit Duty?

Once per summer season each family must complete a night of pool sitting. This involves supervising the pool for an evening and locking up afterwards. Guidance and a checklist are provided.  If a family is unable to pool sit on their scheduled date they may swap with another family or pay a life guard to do it for them.
